PHOTOS: Grosse Pointe North holds off King in quarterfinals

Grosse Pointe North got 27 points from star Julia Ayrault to survive Tuesday's Class A quarterfinal match-up with Detroit King, winning 47-44, returning to the semifinals for the first time since winning it all in 2010.

The Norsemen (20-5) will face Saginaw Heritage in one semifinal at noon Friday at Calvin College's Van Noord Arena.

Ayrault added 11 rebounds and six blocks, the last of those coming on a potential game-tying 3-point attempt in the closing seconds of the game.
